Fri 5th Nov Because the level of graphical complexity doesnt remain static. So is Nintendo gonna keep selling old Switch longer and maybe sell more units, which could lead to further distancing from current developers who will stop supporting Switch completely, and over time consumers might give up on Switch and get another system// Or is the next “Super Switch” gonna release in the mid of Ps5 lifecycle so it can catch up with the popular games?! The main issue is that if N doesn’t get the same top games as other companies, most consumers won’t buy the same game twice if it releases a year or so later on Switch, and software sales are more important than hardware sales! So Nintendo better be careful and do something fast! Even with their solid first party games, normal consumers want popular games, and the Switch still doesn’t have the big guns like Mass Effect Remastered, Batman Arkham Knight, Vanquish, Resident Evil Village, Final Fantasy VII remake, Metal Gear Solid V! … and these are old games already! Waiting with new hardware might really hurt Nintendo also because the most consumers who love N and grew up with it are all getting older and also want more adult games, and if Nintendo keeps selling just to kids, they will lose a huge consumer base, and Dev Support. Nintendo is only buying time because it entered new markets and the Switch sells there. Fri 5th Nov of course all Switch games will carry over! Why wouldn’t they?! But the next Switch can’t take long- we already see many developers skipping Switch and Nintendo lost many great games because it can’t handle 60fps for demanding action games like Vanquish with higher res.
